Elizabeth Reaser, an American actor from the film, television and theatre best known for roles like The Twilight Saga as well as TV shows such as Greys Anatomy or True Detective. Elizabeth was born in Michigan. As a kid, she had a passion for acting. Following the completion of her high school education She enrolled at Juilliard's drama program and received a bachelor degree in Fine Arts. Jessica was selected for the role of The Outpost's main character, Talon. The producers received a tape of her acting and another tape where she did MMA. When she asked if she is able to do sword-fighting she immediately sent the producers a short video. Jessica read the script, and was aware that the character would need the training for weapons. She recorded her first training session with a professional after having read the script. Jonathan Glassner said that the stunt crew was surprised by how Jessica fared in her first lesson. This was her first US important role since she had previously acted in Australian films. Jessica is able to embody her strong female role because of her passion for combat, mixed martial arts skills as well as her horse riding, guns and weapon skills in addition to her athletic skills. She has studied boxing and muay Thai, and trains at the gym for mixed martial arts in Australia. While on set shooting Season 4, Jake Stormoen encountered a dog who was wandering around the scene. The dog in question was actually a stray puppy that lived on the setting. Jessica fostered the two puppies.
